Our world tormented looks down with weeping eyes,
As this year ends slowly and meek.
It’s heart doth break from anger and hate,
And bitterness of which we cannot speak.
For Peace on Earth and Good Will to those,
Who stomp and tread us all to shreds,
May come not as easily as desired,
For the strong grow weary and the rested, tired.
Now is the time to make amends,
Waiting only beckons turmoil,
For Peace on Earth and Good Will to Men-
Kindness is calling so hearts do not toil.
