You were the one that kissed my cheek.
The air so clean in the wilderness I seek.
Sought the journey outside that I longed to hear,
The cry of the hawk, the call of the deer.
You were the one that urged my soul,
To feel the warmth of the story told,
Far above the sky and hills,
I hear your name, and I am still.
You were the one, who called me home,
And I readily awaited the song and tone
Which told me to listen, and learn, and wait,
As I reached the summit, my heart felt its’ fate.
